# Manage salespersons in ViKING Store Management

* A salesperson is someone who uses a till. You typically use salespersons when multiple shop assistants share one or more tills during a day.
* Sales are registered on the salesperson who makes the sale on the till, but money in the cash drawer is shared between all salespersons who use the till.
* A salesperson typically logs in to the till for every sale, and they're typically automatically logged out when the sale has been completed.

You can manage salespersons for a single store as well as for multiple stores at the same time in [ViKING Store Management](/help/store-management/wsa). Here, we primarily describe ViKING Store Management for single-store management, but if you've set up synchronization between your chain's enterprise service and your stores' store services, you can use ViKING Store Management for chain-wide store management as well.

## Add new salesperson

1. Open ViKING Store Management in a browser, connect to the IP address or hostname of the required ViKING store service, and log in.

4\. In the **Basic information** section, specify the following:

* **Salesperson ID:** The unique number that will identify the salesperson. The number is a key field that you can't edit later.

  If your organization uses a special numbering scheme for salespersons, it's important that you follow that scheme. Ask your Fiftytwo administrator if you're in doubt.
* **Name:** The salesperson's name.
* **Initials:** The salesperson's initials.
* **EAN code:** The number of the barcode on the salesperson's ID card.

5. In the **Details** section, specify the following:

* **Category:** Select the relevant [shop assistant category](/help/store-management/shopasst-categories). The category determines the salesperson's user rights and consequently which features they're able to use.
* **Budget:** Optionally, specify a sales budget for the salesperson.
* **Sale until now:** Shows how close the salesperson is to reach the specified budget.

6. In the **Security** section, specify the following:

* **Password:** Specify the salesperson's passcode for logging in to tills.
* **Allowed terminals:** Specify the numbers of the tills that the salesperson must be able to work at.

  Separate till numbers with a comma. Use two periods between till numbers to specify a range.

  > **Tip**
  >
  > Example: Type `1,4,7..10,15` to specify tills 1, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 15.
